As I sit down to write this Thanksgiving message, my thoughts drift back through the years, through thousands of dancers, countless recitals, shared laughter, quiet tears, and the kind of unforgettable moments that only a dance studio family truly understands. Thirty five years ago, when Encore Studio opened its doors, I could never have imagined the tapestry of people, stories, and memories that would follow. Today my heart is filled with gratitude for each person who has been part of shaping this studio into what it is.
Thanksgiving feels like the perfect moment to pause and offer a sincere and heartfelt thank you.
The Heart of Encore: Our Children and Families
Encore Studio has always been about more than dance. Of course we teach technique, artistry, and discipline. We train dancers to leap higher, turn with confidence, and express themselves with strength and grace. But the real magic of Encore lives in what happens beyond the choreography.
For decades I have watched children walk into the studio timid and unsure, and I have watched those same children grow into courageous, compassionate, confident young adults. I have seen friendships form at the barre, determination bloom after a fall, joy burst forth after an accomplishment, and resilience strengthen one class at a time.
None of this would be possible without you, our Encore families. Thank you for trusting us. Thank you for believing in us. Thank you for giving your children the gift of dance and allowing us to be part of their journey. Every ride to class, every encouraging word, every costume prepared, every celebration shared means more than you know. Because of you, Encore truly feels like a second home for your children, and we are honored to help them grow not only as dancers but as people.
Thirty Five Years of Lessons in Dance and Life
Across three and a half decades, Encore has taught thousands of steps. Yet we have always held just as tightly to the lessons that go far beyond dance. We teach dancers to take chances. We remind them that falling is part of learning. We show them that confidence grows with patience and practice. And we teach them that being part of a community can shape them in lasting ways.
Our legacy is not trophies or perfect routines. It is the children who discover who they are under the spotlight. It is the little ones who learn to believe in themselves. It is the teenagers who find strength during challenges. It is the adults they become, carrying the lessons they learned here into every part of their lives.
That is the Encore legacy. That is what fills my heart with pride and gratitude.
The Staff Who Bring the Magic to Life
Encore is blessed with an extraordinary team of women whose passion, talent, and devotion shape the heartbeat of our studio. Each of them brings her own gifts and strengths to our dancers, yet they are united by a shared commitment to nurturing children with care, discipline, and joy. What makes this group so special is not only their professional expertise, but their ability to balance their roles as dedicated instructors with their roles as mothers, mentors, and guiding lights for so many young dancers. Their energy, empathy, and resilience create an environment where every child feels supported and inspired.
This season, the addition of Eden and Kate has brought fresh momentum to Encore in ways that have already made a meaningful impact. Eden, with her professional artistry and natural ability to connect with dancers, has added a new creative spark to our curriculum. Her presence has elevated both the technique and the excitement in our classrooms. Kate, stepping into her role as Studio Manager, has strengthened our front office and customer service experience. Her organization, communication, and thoughtful attention to families have helped move Encore forward and ensure that our parents feel informed, supported, and valued. We are always striving to improve and I hope you see it through these updates.
Together, this incredible staff forms a dynamic, loving, and powerful team. Their collective dedication to our dancers and to the families we serve is one of the greatest blessings we celebrate this Thanks giving season.
Honoring Our Programs and Our Legacy
Each program within our studio holds special meaning. The encore program introduces young dancers to the world of dance. The Intensive Program allows dancers to push themselves artistically to provide a format for these dancers to continue to grow and ultimately perform the coveted Senior Solo!. The Collaborative, our competitive program, stands as a symbol of unity, creativity, and excellence.
We have added new opportunities such as pop up classes for alumni, Summer Focus Workshops, and the new Collaborative Prep Team, which offers a supportive and exciting introduction to our competitive division.
Every program reflects the same spirit that has guided us for thirty five years: growth, courage, community, and heart.
A Studio Built on Community
One of my greatest joys is watching the way Encore families support one another. You cheer together, carpool together, celebrate together, and lift one another up. Dance is the foundation. Community is the glue. It is the reason Encore has continued to flourish year after year.
This anniversary year has felt especially meaningful. Reflecting on what life looked like when Encore first opened has reminded me that trends come and go, but the heart of this studio has never changed.
Our mission remains the same: to nurture children into dancers who move beautifully and people who live beautifully.

As I reflect on this season, please know how deeply grateful I am for you. You are the reason Encore Studio exists. You are the reason we celebrate thirty five years with full hearts. Every dancer who has walked through our doors has left a lasting mark on my life.
