Meet Miss Karen – The guiding Light of Encore Studio
In 1990, Miss Karen opened the doors to Encore Studio with a dream and a deep passion for dance that continues to inspire generations. As the founder and original instructor, she crafted Encore’s dance curriculum from the ground up and now serves as our Artistic Director and certified instructor. With grace, purpose, and an eye for excellence, she leads the studio’s artistic vision and produces our cherished annual recital.
Though trained in all styles, ballet has always been her first love. Her professional experience with multiple ballet companies brings a seasoned perspective and refined artistry to every dancer she guides. Beyond the stage and studio, her proudest role is that of a mother—her daughter, Mallory, grew up dancing at Encore and still shares in that same love for the art.
Miss Karen’s legacy is woven into every step taken at Encore. She continues to inspire not just dancers, but a lasting community built on passion, creativity, and heart.
